Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of BinBosh (binbosh.co.uk), a community-driven bin collection reminder service. By using BinBosh, you agree to these terms.

2. The Service

• BinBosh provides bin collection reminders based on community-contributed schedules.
• Schedules are created and maintained by users and adopted by neighbours.
• BinBosh does not guarantee the accuracy of collection schedules — they are community-sourced and may contain errors.
• Council collection schedules can change without notice. BinBosh relies on community updates to stay current.

3. User Accounts

• BinBosh uses anonymous authentication by default. No personal information is required to use core features.
• If you choose to upgrade your account (e.g. link an email for recovery), additional data is stored as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You are responsible for any content you create, including schedules, overrides, and feedback.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Submit intentionally incorrect schedule data.
• Attempt to manipulate the reputation or gamification systems.
• Use the service to harass or target other users.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.

BinBosh reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Premium Subscriptions

• BinBosh Premium is a paid subscription offering additional features.
• Pricing is displayed on the Premium page and may change. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. BinBosh does not store your card details.
• See our Refund Policy for cancellation and refund terms.
• Premium features may change over time. We will notify subscribers of significant changes.

6. Community Content

• Schedules, overrides, and other community contributions are shared with other users.
• By creating a schedule, you grant BinBosh a non-exclusive licence to display and distribute that schedule data to other users.
• You retain ownership of your contributions and can delete them at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The BinBosh name, logo, and app design are the property of BinBosh. You may not use BinBosh branding without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

• BinBosh is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind.
• We are not liable for missed bin collections, incorrect schedule data, or service interruptions.
• Our maximum liability is limited to the amount you have paid for Premium in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of BinBosh is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, store, and protect your data.

10. Changes to Terms

• We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
• Material changes will be communicated via the app or email (if provided).

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
